Participants
Confirmed participating water providers for Phase I of the Project include:
- Santa Margarita Water District
- Three Valleys Municipal Water District
- Suburban Water Systems
- Golden State Water Company
- Jurupa Community Services
- California Water Service Company
Santa Margarita Water District (SMWD) is serving as the lead agency for the Project’s California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) environmental review and permitting process.
Additional Participants
Additional water providers may join the Project at any time until the Project’s capacity is reached.
The Arizona California Railroad Company (ARZC) will also be participating in the Project. The Project’s water conveyance pipeline will be buried within the existing ARZC railroad right-of-way; the railroad has requested water from the Project for fire suppression purposes along the rail line. ARZC will also have access to Project roads and power facilities.
